I was at this show! It wasn't spectacular to me compared to others but I definitely remember, with fond affection, three things about this show....

1 - it was the first show I shared with my partner in in life (23 years and counting!)
2- It was the only Truckin' I ever heard live and,

3)when Bobby hit the "Tear this old house down" lyric in the opening of the second set....After his opening remark "This is in honor of this old Building"

I loved the old Boston Garden, but it was a rat hole ready to come down!

Keep on the memories!

Long live the ol Boston Garden (if in spirit only) - never mind the Dead - but the good ol' Black and Gold - God i miss those those days

(though the new place is mighty sweet)

I believe this is the show where Weir got into it with some cops between sets when he tried to stop them from beating some heads. He was very nearly beaten, arrested and taken away.

Thus the gusto on "If I had my way, I'd tear this ol' building down" !!!

Thus also, the Dead not returning to Boston Garden till 91.
